He came to him and (G) fell on his knees,
My (D) daughter is dying, oh (A) help us, (D) please!
(D) Just then, a man came (A) running, and said:
(G) It’s too late! Your (D) daughter is dead
But Jesus said: (G) Let’s go and see, (D) be not afraid, Jairus, (A) only believe

In the (G) house all the people were weeping,
Jesus (D) told them: “she’s only sleeping!”
Then the people (Bm) started (G) laughing him to (D) scorn (A)
But with (Bm) love he took her (G) by the hand
